The place of action is Russia. The action time is tomorrow. After a global catastrophe, the nature of which our heroes can only guess, most of the population died. On the mountains of weapons left over from civilization, only the young and strong survived. But they paid in full for the passage to the new world: these people lost their memories, their past, they forgot everything about their former lives. But some people are gradually regaining their memory and human consciousness. Our story is about these few who have partially "woken up" and are trying to find their place in a new world. In his previous life, Ghosh is a polymath and an intellectual to the core. Now he is among those who will have to not only regain their memory, but also rediscover themselves as people. They are opposed by those who use their newfound memory and knowledge to bend the world under themselves.
