Allison's life falls apart following her involvement in a fatal accident. The unlikely relationship she forms with her would-be father-in-law helps her live a life worth living.
It's really not a bad film. I don't think it's perfect and I certainly have seen the topic of addiction handled better. I'm not sure this digs deep enough, but I think there is enough here to at least bring attention to the issue of opioid addiction and hopefully to get the audience in a more empathetic state towards those who struggle. Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman do a pretty good job and I think make the film worth seeing. Overall 7/10
