Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
This was awful. Don't really have anything good to say. Story: bad. Dialogue: bad. Humor: bad. Nothing worked for me. Never so much as chuckled. It's also a very bad adaptation of the IP. It doesn't feel like a Garfield movie. They should have forgotten the whole heist plot and really not bothered with his father and just focused in on Jon and Garfield. They setup Jon as someone who is lonely and longing for companionship. They should have explored that and of course made Garfield feel like Garfield. A lazy cat. I think Chris Pratt was very miscast here. I generally really like him in most things. But his voice is too fun. They needed a more lazy sounding almost dull voice. Really everything needed to change. If I read this script my feedback would be throw it in the trash and start over. 1/10
