While Rule Breakers may not be the most well crafted film, the story alone is just so incredibly inspirational and moving to be worth checking out. I do think the film needed a tighter screenplay and did have some pacing issues, but the strength of the story makes to for those weaknesses. I also do love seeing people from the Middle East actually displayed with humanity, when so often in Hollywood they lean on tropes and often vilify them. That said, it's not like it's not being honest about the problems there either. It is dangerous and there are a lot of people who aren't good people. Women are oppressed, particularly now that the Taliban has taken back control of Afghanistan, but it's still important, regardless of your political opinion on accepting refugees to at the very least have some compassion and try to understand the hardships these people have to go through. It's just so moving to see these group of women, who have so many obstacles in their way, overcome so much and be able to achieve such great things while making a difference for many women in that part of the world, and perhaps everywhere else too. As a film, I would say it's a 7.5/10
