I had pretty low expectations because I haven't heard the best things about this movie, but overall I enjoyed it. It's not perfect. It feels overly long at times but at the same time often is rushing through story points. But Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson were both great in this film. Musical sequences were good but did often feel repetitive. But it is a good story, a pretty sad one too. Overall a solid watch. 7/10
