Primate didn't really work for me. It's watchable and not offensively bad, but it was a bit frustrating for me as it is another horror movie that relies too much on the stupidity of it's characters. Also for a monkey that is supposed to be hydrophobic, he certainly spends a lot of time by the pool. The movie starts with a historical statement of hydrophobia/rabies. Yet the hydrophobia really plays zero part in this story. So I'd add that it just isn't particularly well written either. The characters are bland. The kills are at the very least interesting I guess, but I just never cared. And it feels like a bit overdoing it at times. 4/10
