I was invested in what happened to this cat from the very first frame. This was a visual feast. The movie is just filled with charm. No dialogue in the entire film, and I never missed it. This movie tells it's story masterfully through visuals alone. You didn't need the dialogue as the subtle ways the animals communicate to each other illustrate to the audience what is being communicated very effectively. I really loved the animation as well. It has a bit of a retro feel at times, which I think adds to its charm, blended with some more natural and breathtaking visuals. This film should certainly be in the Oscar race for best animated feature. I don't have much to critique except that occasionally there are moments where I'm not quite sure what was happening and I think it could of had a slightly more satisfying ending, still very good. 9.5/10
