Honestly, the premise isn't bad. It just doesn't really execute it very well. What could have been a compelling movie exploring the need for presumption of innocence and a separation for judge, jury and executioner. But instead it's just a really predictable film about solving the murder of his wife, which I knew who did it pretty early on. Also, if it was trying to depict the dangers of AI, it doesn't really do a good job of it. It sometimes almost feels like a sales pitch as solving a tough murder case in 90 minutes generally doesn't happen. But to be honest, not sure I get why they set a timer. Why would there be a timer for a trial. Shouldn't the evidence and facts dictate time in trial. Maybe that's the point that it was flawed, but it just seemed like a cheap plot device to add urgency, but was never made clear why they designed it this way or why most people seemed to support having their basic rights taken away in this world. But I guess exploring those ideas would be too interesting. Ultimately, the film is watchable, largely because of Chris Pratt. I was never terribly bored even if I was a few steps ahead of the film the whole time. Neither offensively awful nor sometime I would recommend going out of your way to see. It was quite a mess and feels a bit like a missed opportunity. 5/10
