As Stitch, a runaway genetic experiment from a faraway planet, wreaks havoc on the Hawaiian Islands, he becomes the mischievous adopted alien "puppy" of an independent little girl named Lilo and learns about loyalty, friendship, and ʻohana, the Hawaiian tradition of family.
Just did a rewatch before I watch the remake. This still holds up quite well. The movie has so much heart. At it's core it's about family and finding somewhere you belong. The film really explores that in a really emotionally resonant way as it navigates it's themes through a more broken family. The characters are all excellent. They are flawed but relatable. I think there is some room to dig deeper, but otherwise excellent. 8.5/10
