1 review for Nickel Boys
This didn't really work for me. I think it's well acted and is a good story. But the first person approach it goes with doesn't work for me. I was just never able to connect emotionally with anyone because I rarely to get to see the main characters. I just felt emotionally distant the whole time. The filming style can also make it hard to follow. I also don't feel like it utilizes it's time well. The film does feel way too long and I can't say every minute is well used. While it's visually pretty, it seems that was the top priority because I never felt like we were spending time developing the characters or the story. Overall this just wasn't for me.
