Luis Quijano is a Mexican director, producer, and screenwriter from Mérida, Yucatán. Since 2017, he has created music videos, web series, commercials, short films, and feature films in Mexico and the United States. In 2023, he founded Balché Films, a production company focused on sociocultural stories within the horror and fantasy genres. His work has been showcased internationally, including at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles as part of In Focus: Latinx Cinema. He has been a NALIP Emerging Content Creator Fellow (2019, 2022) and a participant of Hola Mexico Film Festival’s Tomorrow’s Filmmakers Today program presented by HBO. Additionally, Quijano has directed branded content for Funko, Love XO & Banana Boat, various music videos, and is currently in post-production of his debut feature film Me Gusta Más Crudo (co-directed with Fabio Colonna).
