Eiji Umehara (梅原 英司, Umehara Eiji, born 1982) is a Japanese scriptwriter. He worked for Production I.G, where he was in charge of production progress and production finishing in the finishing department, while also doing literary work. He made his debut as a screenwriter in 2007 with "Yumedamaya Kidan". After leaving Production I.G, he became freelance.
