Brent Joseph is an award-winning writer, director, and editor, born in New Orleans in 1974. From tales of his Lebanese family working as peddlers in Louisiana’s Cajun communities to life in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, his directing work explores stories of people surviving—and often thriving—on the edges of society. His films have screened at festivals from Los Angeles to Paris, including Full Frame, Slamdance, the Austin Film Festival, and Rooftop Films. As an editor, Brent began as an assistant in the cutting rooms of David Fincher, Larry Clark, and Seth Rogen, before going on to edit features and TV programs that aired on PBS and MTV, and screened at SXSW. Most recently, he edited "La Gloria," starring Emmy Award–winning actor David Morse. He has also edited films for Microsoft and cut trailers for "American Horror Story."
