Finlay Christie started early, performing at the Comedy Club 4 Kids since the age of 7 and being featured on Blue Peter for his stand-up comedy at just 14 years old. As an actor, Finlay is known for The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff (BBC2) alongside Stephen Fry, Robert Webb and Katherine Parkinson. He also appeared in the Go-Betweenies (Radio 4) alongside David Tennant and was the voice of Yo-Jo Jo in over 150 episodes of Waybuloo (CBeebies). He recently appeared in a collaboration with Channel 4 and Tourism Ireland and on Channel 4’s digital show, ‘A Comedy Thing.’ BBC Radio 4 have also commissioned a stand-up special from him to go out in 2026. At 19, Finlay became one of the youngest ever winners of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny competition, following in the footsteps of Peter Kay, Lee Mack and Sarah Millican. 3 years later, his debut Edinburgh show “OK Zoomer” was nominated for NextUp’s “Best Show” award and was released as a special in October 2023, with over 550,000 views. His material, based around his experience as a Gen Z, led Chortle to describe him as “the voice of his generation.” He is also fluent in French, and performed French stand-up in Lyon for 6 months.
